Doing things the old way, in oils, is what Philip is known for - and a lot of time is required in planning and executing an oil painting. It's slow work, and needs a lot of love so is more expensive at €2000 plus.
He also uses digital programs to create old school, painted style images. It still isn't like modern digital art, but remains true to the old look of his original work from the eighties. The computer gives him more creative freedom, and he can work faster. Depending on the amount of detail and work, the fee is between €500 to €2000 for a digital cover painting.
Philip offers discounts to independant bands and small labels, appreciating people who manage their own careers - because he knows how hard that can be. He's also willing to waive royalties on T-Shirts in these cases. Otherwise 10% of gross merch sales must also be agreed to.
