The original, intended name for the band was CREATUR, and if it wasn't for Philip's advice to their producer at the time, Karl Walterbach, it still would be.
During one of their usual meetings in which Karl often asked his opinion, Philip advised him that CREATUR sounded a little dated, and that changing it to a kind of omnipotent, destructive CREATOR god, spelled with a K, would appeal more to the youth of the day.
Not only was he right, but the band who has given him zero compensation for it's most iconic merchandising illustration, and the development of their demon mascot, actually owes their very name to him.
Shown are the original and later altered logo concepts.
